How to maintain the garage sliding door

With the improvement of living standards, many homes now have private garages or buy their own garages in the community, mainly to facilitate the parking and safety of their cars. At the same time, garage doors are also a must-have for garages. Unmaintained garage doors can produce harsh noises in later runs, and more importantly, noisy garage doors are signs that the garage doors are not sufficiently lubricated, which can lead to more serious consequences.

Ways and steps to maintain the garage door:

1. Press the switch button or use the remote control to close the garage door;

2, then the entire garage door is powered off;

3. Clean the guide rails on both sides with a decontaminated wet cloth, especially the groove part. Some foreign objects must be cleaned up;

4. Clean the dust on the top rail. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner to suck out foreign objects.

5. Use the lubricating grease or lubricating spray for the garage door rail to apply the metal moving contact parts of each hinge and the two sides of the rail;

6. Lubricate some parts of the spring at the top of the garage door to reduce noise generation;

7. If there is a keyhole, also lubricate the keyhole.

8. Re-energize the power, start the garage door, check whether the garage door is running smoothly and whether the noise is reduced.
